So with this knowledge, am writing this comprehensive guide that will always help anybody who need automatic and manual configuration on their mobile phone to access the internet.

If you are an already a guru or an expert with browsing on mobile, this guide might look too simple to you. But remember we all started at this stage. Remember?

The different ways you can activate and manually configure your mobile phone to surf the internet using Nigeria networks, MTN, AIRTEL, GLOBACOM and ETISALAT are explain below.

To Activate Globacom Nigeria Mobile Internet automatic. To receive your Glo 3G internet settings, this is also refer to as glo default settings.
Text ACTIVATE to 444 using a 3G mobile phone.
Here is Glo Manual Settings for 3G/3.5G Internet browsing.
Service name: Glo 3G
IP Address: 10.100.98.22
Port: 3130
Username: wap
Password: wap
Access point name (APN): glo3gvideo
Homepage: http://cms.gloworld.com
To receive Glo WAP settings ,
SMS your phone name and model to 927.
example, to activate Nokia 7610, text Nokia 7610 to 927.

Glo Manual GPRS Internet Settings for mobile phone
Service name: Glowap
IP Address: 10.100.98.22
Port: 3130
Username: wap
Password: wap
Access point name (APN): glowap
Homepage: http://wap.gloworld.com
after completing the above settings, you can use glo sim card on your mobile phone to start browsing the internet.


This is for MTN users to access the internet with their mobile phone.

Activating MTN Mobile Internet To receive your 3G/3.5G/GPRS settings,
text SETTINGS to 3888
you will receive message from mtn, save it and set it as default.

IP Address: 10.199.212.2
Port: 8080
Username: web
Password: web
Access point name (APN): web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net

MTN manual 3G/3.5G/GPRS settings for full internet browsing

Account name: MTN GPRS
IP Address: 10.199.212.2
Port: 8080
Username: web
Password: web
Access point name (APN): web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
Activating Airtel For Mobile browser.
Internet To receive your Airtel GPRS settings,
text Internet [space] [phone make] [space] [model number] to 232.
example, to activate Nokia 7610,
text Internet Nokia 7610 to 232.
You can also activate your airtel Internet at http://dmc.ng.zain.com , you can just as well call the Customer service and the settings will be automatically sent to your phone. While Saving the settings for Airtel, you might be ask to enter a password, the default is four zeros [0000]


ETISALAT Manual Setting for wap mobile

Account name: ETISALAT WAP
IP Address: 10.71.170.5
Port: 8080
Username: leave empty

Password: leave empty
Access point name (APN): etisalat
homepage : http://mobile.etisalat.com.ng
